Guide
Switching from Runna to Bellows
Bellows doesn't hand you a fixed plan. You build it, with your own AI if you like, around your race, your lifting and your week.
Your Plan
- Create a training block with your start date, race date and goal distance, or a timed event in hours.
- Tap Suggest phases. Bellows splits the time into base, build, peak and taper. Edit any of it.
- Fill in the weeks. Add runs to the calendar yourself, or ask your AI to lay them out. See Plan Your Workouts with AI.
Your Paces
Bellows estimates your training pace zones from your recent best effort, so easy runs stay easy and hard runs have a target. They're estimates: GPS, hills, heat and effort all move the numbers.
Interval Runs That Coach You
Set up a warm-up, a number of reps at a target pace with recovery between, and a cool-down. While you run, Bellows moves through the steps on its own, says each one out loud, and every 30 seconds tells you whether you're on pace.
Your Run History
If your runs land in Apple Health (from Apple Watch, Garmin Connect or another app), Bellows can bring them in for you, now and as new ones arrive.
- Open Bellows and go to You → Apple Health.
- Choose how far back: the last 30 days, 1 year, or everything.
- Tap Connect Apple Health and allow workouts, routes and heart rate.
Runs, rides, swims, walks and hikes come in with the route and heart rate when Health has them. New ones arrive on their own.
What's Different in Bellows
Strength work is a full log, not an add-on: sets, reps, weight, rest timers and charts, with a warning when heavy leg work lands too close to a long run or a speed session.
Runna is a trademark of its owner. Bellows Fitness LLC isn't affiliated with or endorsed by them.
