BELLOWS

Guide

Switching from Strava to Bellows

Bellows puts your runs and rides in the same log as your lifting, so a week of miles and a week of squats read as one week of training. Your Strava history comes with you.

The Easy Way: Apple Health

If your runs and rides already land in Apple Health (from Apple Watch, Garmin Connect or Strava itself), Bellows can bring them in for you, now and as new ones arrive.

  1. Open Bellows and go to You → Apple Health.
  2. Choose how far back: the last 30 days, 1 year, or everything.
  3. Tap Connect Apple Health and allow workouts, routes and heart rate.

Runs, rides, swims, walks and hikes come in with the route and heart rate when Health has them. New ones arrive on their own.

Your Whole Strava History: Files

  1. One activity: on strava.com, open the activity, open its ••• menu and choose Export Original (or Export GPX).
  2. Everything: on strava.com, go to Settings → My Account → Download or Delete Your Account and request your archive. Strava emails you a .zip.
  3. In Bellows, go to You → Import and Export → Runs and Rides from Other Apps and choose the file or the .zip. Bellows reads .fit, .gpx and .tcx files, compressed or not, up to 2,000 activities per .zip.

If the archive is very large, unzip it in the Files app and zip just its activities folder.

What Comes Over

Pick one way for each activity. Bringing the same run in from both Apple Health and a file can give you two copies.

What's Different in Bellows

Your lifting gets the same care as your miles: sets, reps, weight and rest timers, with last time's numbers ready. Set up a training block for your next race, and connect your own AI to plan the weeks. See Lifting While Training for a Marathon.
