Switching from Strong or Hevy to Bellows
Your history is the reason it's hard to switch apps. Bellows brings it with you: every workout and every set, so "last time" numbers and records are there from your first session.
What Comes Over
- Every workout, with its date, exercises, sets, reps and weight.
- Exercise names matched to the Bellows library. Anything Bellows doesn't have is added as your own exercise, so nothing is dropped.
- Works with Strong, Hevy and StrengthLog, and with any app that exports one row per set.
Step by Step
- Export from your old app. In Strong: Settings → Export Strong Data. In Hevy: Settings → Export & Import Data → Export Workouts. In StrengthLog: Settings → Export. Save the .csv file to your iPhone (Files works well).
- Open Bellows and go to You → Import and Export.
- Choose the CSV file under Bring Your History from Strong, Hevy or StrengthLog. Bellows shows how many workouts and sets it found, the date range, and which exercises will be added as your own.
- Check the units. Some files don't say whether weights are in lb or kg. If Bellows asks, pick the one your old app used.
- Tap Import. Done. Your history shows up in Bellows right away.
Good to Know
- Safe to run twice. A workout that was already imported is recognized and skipped, so you won't get duplicates.
- One Undo for the whole import. The import is saved as one batch. If something looks wrong, undo it in You → AI Connection → AI Activity and try again.
- Body weight typed as added weight. Some apps log a pull-up as "+185 lb" when that's really your body weight. Bellows spots this and asks before counting those sets as bodyweight.
- Runs and rides too. GPX, TCX or FIT files from Garmin, Strava, Coros or Suunto import on the same screen, with route, splits, pace and heart rate.
What's Different in Bellows
Lifting and cardio share one log, so a week of squats, runs and rides reads as one week of training. You can log for a training partner on the same phone. And if you use an AI assistant, you can connect it to plan and adjust your training. See Plan Your Workouts with AI.
